Site Features
Finding a web hosting provider can be a daunting task. You think you’ve found the right provider, but then another provider offers completely different content than the previous provider. So you have to decide what to do. You will never use most functions. A web host will add more features to your website to attract you. Instead of talking about all the features, I will talk about the most important ones. If you have a simple website, you can combine this feature with the
price of a cheap website and be fine. Here are some important facts.
1. Disk space
One of the biggest problems you may face is how much disk space (and disk space or web space) you need. It all depends on how your website is designed. First of all, let me say this, web providers will show the disk space they give you in GB (gigabytes) or MB (megabytes). 1 GB equals 1024 MB. A text-only website can be around 20 megabytes in size. However, if you add images and videos, you will need more disk space. The more content you add to your website, the more hard disk
you will need.
2. Broadband
Bandwidth (or bandwidth) is the amount of data your website can deliver to your website visitors. When someone visits your website or downloads something from your website, they are using a broadband connection. Web hosting usually offers you a month-to-month broadband deal. If you plan to have a website with few visitors, the bandwidth limit set by your provider (between 1 GB and 5 GB) should be sufficient. Some information you need to know in
broadband calculation:
1024 Bytes = 1 Kilobyte (KB); 1024 Kilobyte (KB) = 1 Megabyte (MB); 1024 Megabytes = 1 Gigabyte (GB)
Note: Some web providers do not count bytes in 1024. Instead, they use 1000 for simplicity. This is something to keep in mind if your calculation differs slightly from sellers. If you want to know how much they use, you can ask your provider.
3. on FTP
FTP (File Transfer Protocol) is a method of transferring files from one computer to another. This gives you the option to submit your website to your hosting website. It also makes life easier as you can copy multiple files at once.
4. Customer service
Technical support is very important. You need to find a company that will provide you with 24/7 customer service. There may be problems on your website that require urgent attention. The longer you wait, the more visitors your website may lose.
5. Email services
You really want to receive an email, so you don’t give your email address to your website visitors. You need an email address for various reasons.
6. Area codes
Website statistics are important because you can track how many people visit your website. This way you know how well your website is performing. You can also see how many lines are used.
7. Trust
Just because you find a cheap web hosting package doesn’t mean you can’t trust it. You also need a provider you can trust to keep your website running smoothly. Most web hosts can guarantee that your site will be up and running 99.9% of the time. If you’ve come across a website that only confirms a few times, I wouldn’t recommend using their services.
